Madelyn Beatrice Morelock

Mrs. Madelyn Beatrice “Sis” Morelock, age 80, of Gate City, VA, died on Tuesday morning March 25, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Morelock was born on October 12, 1933 in Church Hill, TN, the daughter of the late Gaither and Naomi Christian Henry. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and attended the Bloomingdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy & Don Henry and by a sister, Shirley Anderson. Mrs. Morelock was married to Mr. Orville “Doc” Morelock who preceded her in death in 2009. Survivors include her children, Vickie (Jerry) Foulk, Susie (Ricky) Meade, Pam Nunley and David Morelock. Two brothers, Randy Henry and Gaither “June” Henry, Jr.; Two sisters, Barbara Williams and Sharon Henry. Her seven grandchildren, Terry & Rebecca Foulk, Steven & Lana Blythe, Steven Nunley, Brooke Meade and Trish Morelock. Five great-grandchildren, Aiden Foulk, McKenna Foulk, Megan Hammonds, and Alan & Ava. Funeral services for Mrs. Morelock will be conducted on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Morelock officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow on Friday morning, March 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the East Lawn Memorial Park.
