

Margaret Graham Arnett, wife to Ned Arnett of 61 years, was called to her eternal home on January 19, 2026, from the NHC Rehab Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. Margaret was a daughter of Shelby and Betty Hill Graham of Limestone, Tennessee. Margaret was born in Washington County, Tennessee and was a proud graduate of Chuckey-Doak High School. She was employed at the Kingsport Press for 36 years and was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Franklin and Shelby Graham; two sisters Sue Treadway and Mary Barnett; one niece Tracey Barnett; two nephews Tony Barnett and Robert Edwards; and three brothers-in-law Joe Bitner, Eugene Treadway, and William Edwards.
Margaret is survived by her husband Ned Arnett of the home; three sisters Jeanette Edwards of Flagler Beach, Florida, Johnny Bitner of Chuckey, TN, and Frankie Kirney (Carol Monk) of Chuckey, Tennessee; one sister-in-law Freda Graham; special niece Denise Grabner of Knoxville, Tennessee. A special sister and brother-in-law Mike and Bertha Asher of Elizabethton, Tennessee. Two special friends, Carolyn Easley and Jerry Bacon and all her neighbors on Lodge Pine Walk Kingsport, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Margaret loved being with family and friends. Margaret was an avid Sullivan Central High School Cougar fan for over 50 years and was loved by the student athletes.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the East Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dean Presnell officiating. Mike Presnell will direct the music. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park’s Garden of Prayer where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby, Jackie, Tony and Bud McKeehan, Mike Asher, Jerry and Mike Hubbard.
