Marilyn Ann Davis, age 90, passed away peacefully at home with family on Friday, February 13th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Densil Ray Davis, an infant son, Sammy Ray, as well as her parents, Otto and Maxine Charlton; sisters, Shirley Rowland, Freddie Gordon, Marie Foulk, and Georgia Pasch; and a granddaughter, Jessica Hill.
Marilyn is survived by her four daughters, Sharon (Robert) McClain, Sandra Teague, Janet (Billy) Wilde, and April Kilby; as well as six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was a hairstylist for many years. She loved working in her yard and had the prettiest lawn on the street. She had various hobbies over the years including sewing and quilting. She enjoyed reading, solving word puzzles, and using her iPad. She was an amazing caretaker and tenderly cared for her husband in his final years. Her daughters often remarked that she was the strongest woman that they knew.
A graveside committal service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park, with Paul Overbay of Sullivan Baptist Church officiating, on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Those attending should arrive at the graveside at 11:45 AM.
A special thanks to all the caring staff at Amedisys Hospice Care as well as a sincere thanks to the staff of Brookdale Rock Springs where she enjoyed six years of loving and compassionate care.
