Sherry Franklin

Born in Kingsport, Tn July 14, 1966 to Charles E. and Rita Lucille Casey. Sherry was raised in Kingsport and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1984. She was a faithful servant of the Lord for many years and found comfort in her faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucille Casey; sisters, Ann Mitchell and Sue Casey; brothers, Junior Casey and Jay Casey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Tom Franklin; son, Cody Franklin (Kayley), step-children, Lynn Franklin (Christine), and Debbie Proffitt (Michael); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Faye Hammonds (Buddy), Rose Tesnear, and Linda Helton (Bill); a host of nieces and nephews, and special friend of many years Vicki Ford.

Funeral services are scheduled at East Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2025. Visitation will be 11-1 with service to follow with Bro. Steve Martin officiating. Graveside service will be directly after. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
