

Shirley Sue Lawson Corley, aged 89, passed away on June 3, 2025, in Dandridge, TN. Born on November 17, 1935, Sue grew up attending Sunnyside School and later graduated from Blountville High School. Throughout her life, Sue was known for her loving, kind, and sacrificial nature, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
Sue worked at various places throughout her career, always striving to provide for her family, until she retired and moved to Dandridge to be closer to both of her children and all of her grandchildren, who were the joys of her life.
A devout Christian, Sue was a founding and lifelong member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Kingsport and attended First Baptist Church Dandridge after relocating there. Her faith played a significant role in her life and provided comfort and community wherever she was.
Sue is survived by her son, Shane Corley and his wife Adrienne; daughter, Kara Jinx Tucker and her husband Robert; grandsons McKenzie Tucker and his wife Karis, Keegan Tucker, Patrick Corley, Trey Tucker, and Aidan Corley; great-grandsons Caleb and Ezra Tucker; several very special nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Bertha Lawson; brothers Harold Lawson and Tilmon Lawson, and sisters Vivian Green, Mildred McConnell, and Janelle Campbell.
Services will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home in Kingsport on Friday, June 6 with visitation at 12:00 pm, funeral service at 1:00 pm, and graveside service following at 2:00 pm.
Sue's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her faith, and her service to her loved ones and friends.
