Wesley Warren Morris 42, died suddenly at home on Monday, December 24, 2018 following a brief illness. Wesley touched the lives of so many; a beautiful shining light, the star of our hearts and leaves us SMILING through our tears.
Wesley will always be remembered for his gentle grace and kindness towards others. He always looked out for others and put others before himself. Wesley graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and later attended East Tennessee State University. Wesley will be missed by his Culver Academy family. He was employed by Partners Inc. and attended Christ Fellowship Church. He loved disc golf, movies and music but most of all he loved spending time with Kara, his partner of nearly ten years and their “Boogs”.
Wesley was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Jacqueline and Paul William Morris and Eva Tamez.
Wesley is survived by his mother, Jeanne Marion Morris & her life partner Rick Klein; father Rudolph Tamez; half-brothers, Matthew Tamez and Rudy Tamez, Jr.; children, Savannah, Max and Dayne; the loves of his life, Kara and Wesley Knox Morris; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday (January 5, 2019) from noon to 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Wesley's Life will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Darayl Fenton officiating.
