Eileen L. Nix

Eileen L. Nix, age 85, a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and a former resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at her residence with her family at her side. She was born on February 26, 1926 in Taylor, Texas to Louis L. Stauffer and Lena Bredemeyer Stauffer. Mrs. Nix was a 20 year employee of Exxon retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Louis H. Stauffer.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Floyd O. Nix of Corpus Christi; sister, Mary Lou Stauffer of Austin, Texas; stepdaughters, Cecelia (Billy) Shannon of Rockport, Texas, Sarah (Jack) Wardinsky of Montana, and Katie (Jim) Hada of Houston, Texas; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and pet companions, Heather, Paco, Cricket, Tammy, Dobie and Smokey.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Chamberlain Cemetery, 735 West Caesar Avenue, Kingsville, Texas with Fr. Sean Maloney officiating.
