Ernestina Tina G. Garcia Vilches

Ernestina G. Vilches of Ricardo, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011, at the age of 58. She was born on July 1, 1953, to Cristobal and Emilia Garcia in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ernestina devoted her life to making a home for her family. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elma Garcia and Edna Garcia; and one brother, Omar Francisco Garcia.

Ernestina leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twenty-five years, Lupe A. Vilches of Ricardo; three children: Joel G. (Diana S. Gutierrez) Gaitan of Kingsville, Barbara A. (Jesus, Jr.) Najera, of Pflugerville, Texas, and Andres G. Garcia of Kingsville; daughter-in-law Ida Cantu Gaitan of Kingsville; three brothers: Cristobal (Gloria) Garcia, Wilfredo Garcia and Enrique Garcia all of Kingsville; five sisters: Maricruz (Jay) Smith, Maricela (Roy) Bowyer both of Ricardo, Elizabeth (Danny) Rodriguez of Kerrville, Texas, Diamantina (Jesse) Leyba and Emma Garcia both of Kingsville. three grandchildren: Joel Ray Rubio, Joeleen Marie Gaitan and Kailie Michele DeLeon all of Kingsville; She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and also on Friday, September 16, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte, Piper Mortuary. A Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011, at Turcotte, Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
