Felipe Morin Garza Sr.

Felipe Morin Garza Sr., age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 in Kingsville. He was born May 26, 1924 in Beeville, Texas to Francisco Garza and Mercedes Morin Garza. Mr. Garza was employed for Steve’s Oilfield Service until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Macaria Espinosa Garza; parents; son, Robert Garza; three brothers, Juan “Shorty” Garza, Nieves Garza and Juan “Chico” Garza; two sisters, Catarina Garcia and Julia Rodriguez; and grandson, Rick Garza.

Mr. Garza is survived by three sons, Felipe Garza Jr. (Elizabeth) and John A. Garza (Judy), both of Kingsville, and Rick Garza (Louella) of Nolanville, Texas; two daughters, Mary Lou Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas and Amelia Martinez of Houston, Texas; one sister, Maria Alaniz of Sinton, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, Kingsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
