

Felisa Bautista Ybarra, age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Alice, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1924 in Tondo, Manila, Philippines to Eustacio Bautista and Catalina Magana Bautista.
Family and friends will always remember Felisa as being very active in social functions and activities. Mrs. Ybarra was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America, St. Martin’s Altar Society, Fil-AM Association, Senior Citizens Sewing and Ceramic Club, and Ladies Auxiliary member of the D.A.V. and V.F.W.
She devoted much of her time to church activities, recreational celebrations and events such as bingos, rosaries, and carnivals. Felisa loved baking her “famous” pan-de-polvo, lumpias and especially enjoyed decorating for special occasions and crafting custom-made arrangements. She was a beloved daughter, mother and grandmother and will forever hold an irreplaceable spot in the hearts of all that were lucky enough to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Amadeo T. Ybarra Jr.
Mrs. Ybarra is survived by three daughters, Rosalind Y. (Manuel Jr.) Guerra of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Y. (Martin Jr.) Mendoza of Bowie, Maryland, and Cathy Y. (Juan B. Jr.) Garza of Kingsville; two sons, Ernie B. (Mary) Ybarra of Pasadena, Texas and Robert B. Ybarra of San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, 715 North Eighth Street, Kingsville, with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
