

William Frederick “Fred” Radford of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010. He was 75. Fred was born August 30, 1935 in Alice, Texas to L.L. Radford and Jane Glasscock Radford. He was a graduate of Texas A & I University in 1961 with a BA. He was the owner and operator of General Maintenance, Inc. Fred was a farmer and rancher all his life and loved to be around cattle and good cowboys. He was also the proud owner of Radford Farms.
Fred served proudly as a school board member for the Ricardo ISD and was also the past president of the Ricardo Water District. He was the founder of Boy Scout Troop #351 in Ricardo. He was a past president and member of the Chamberlain Cemetery Association and the Kleberg County Historical Commission. Fred was proud of his lifetime membership in the South Texas Cattle Raisers Association. Above all his civic memberships, Fred was a Christian, and member of the First United Methodist Church of Kingsville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather..
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Radford of Kingsville, Texas; his children, Dean (Carolyn Franklin) Radford and Darrin (Debbie) Radford of Kingsville, Texas; grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Radford, Brandon (Amanda) Radford, Ashlee (Clint) Miller, Hannah Nicole Radford, Carson Radford, Cambell Radford; and great-grandchildren, Logan Radford, Halle Jo Radford, Walker Radford, Hayden Miller and Heston Miller; and cousins, Jim & Jane Anne Keese of Three Rivers, Texas.
Visitation was held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Sheldon Johnson, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Radford, Brandon Radford, Steve Dietz, Thomas Maples, James Nix, Rey Mendietta, Ralph Huff and Miles Cumberland.
