Helen T. McCreight

Helen T. McCreight, age 82, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on October 8, 1928 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Sam Thomas and Evie Lee Hedtke Thomas. Mrs. McCreight in her early years was employed by Sears in the credit department. Later she was employed at Texas A&M University - Kingsville as an Administrative Secretary at the College of Business. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Soroptimist Club. Mrs. McCreight was also co-owner of T&M Welders, Inc.

Mrs. McCreight was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. McCreight and parents.

She is survived by two sons, Robert T. McCreight and James Michael (Meri Gail) McCreight, both of Kingsville; one daughter, Ellen (Jeff) Wolfskill of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Fay (Ned) Green of San Antonio, Texas and D.D. (Bill) Seagar of Las Cruces, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Amy Lynn (Michael Blaine) McCreight-Yeary, Amanda Jean McCreight, Betsy Wolfskill, Donald Wolfskill and John Wolfskill; one great-grandchildson, Cayden Lee Yeary; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the family receiving friends that evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Miller officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
