

Leslie Ross Marrou, age 74, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on July 26, 1936 in Gillett, Texas to Frank Marrou and Matilde Schroeder Marrou and raised in Gonzales, Texas. Mr. Marrou attended Texas A&M University - College Station and graduated with a degree in Poultry Science in 1959. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruby Bond, also of Gonzales, Texas and they were married for 50 years. He was co-owner of Bishop Poultry, Inc. for 35 years along with his partner Bill Coleman of Kingsville, Texas. He was a faithful 49 year member of St. James Catholic Church, Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Bond Marrou of Bishop; children, Lane (Candy) Marrou of Calallen, Texas, Rachael (Barry) Wolf of Sealy, Texas and Jennifer (Scott) Van Winkle of Callallen; siblings, John (Sarah) Marrou of Houston, Texas and Francis (Barbara) Marrou of Universal City, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler and Dustin Marrou of Calallen, Texas, Kylie and Kolby Wolf of Sealy, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Public visitation will take place on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church, 605 West Third Street, Bishop, Texas. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the St. James Catholic Cemetery, Gonzales, Texas.
At the request of the family, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
