Luciana Lucy M. Hunter

Luciana M. Hunter, age 70, a resident of Baytown, Texas and a former resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011` in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Hunter was born on January 8, 1941 in Bishop. She was employed as a florist for Kaiser Flower Shop, Bishop, and Greer’s Florist, Baytown.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James B. Hunter; and parents, Senaido L. Martinez and Maria R. Martinez.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by three brothers, Guillermo Martinez of Baytown, Emilio (Raquel) Martinez and Maximino (Francisca) Martinez, both of Bishop; three sisters, Catarina Rodriguez, Anselma R. Martinez and Higinia (Marcelino) M. Sanchez, all of Bishop; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Rosary will be recited by Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Kingsville, with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bishop, Texas at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
