Manuel L. Isassi

Manuel L. Isassi, age 85, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 in Kingsville. He was born on September 29, 1926 in Kingsville to Jose Isassi and Angelita Gonzalez Isassi. Mr. Isassi was employed for 40 years with Dr Pepper Bottling Company until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria G. Isassi; son, Manuel Isassi Jr.; and parents.

Mr. Isassi is survived by one daughter, Lucy Merritt of Pennsylvania; two sons, Roberto G. Isassi (Dalia) of Kingsville and Raul “Rudy” Isassi (Ana) of Port Lavaca, Texas; two sisters, Lucy Gonzalez of Mission, Texas and Ester Isassi of Rio Grande City, Texas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
