Maria S. Olivares

Maria S. Olivares, age 88, a resident of San Diego, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on September 2, 1922 in Pleasanton, Texas to Octavio Sandoval and Vicenta Sauceda Sandoval. Mrs. Olivares was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of San Diego, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Olivares, son Baltazar Flores, Sr. and granddaughter Melisa Yvonne Aguilar.

She is survived by one son, Francisco (Cleo) Flores, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Gloria Soliz of Kingsville, Texas and Alma (Juan) Galindo of San Benito, Texas; one brother Guillermo (Frances) Sandoval of Kemah, Texas; one sister, Rita Hernandez of Sinton, Texas; 8 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Turcotte-Mortuary Chapel in Kingsville, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Burial will follow in San Diego at the San Diego Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
