Maria M. Rangel

Maria Muniz Rangel of Kingsville, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the age of 83. She was born December 2,1928 in Kingsville, Texas to Miguel Muniz and Evangelina Coronado Muniz. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandra Torres; great- grandson, Isaac E. Torres, and three brothers, Luz Muniz, Jesus C. Muniz and Merced Muniz. She is survived by four sons, Juan R. Rangel of Houston, Texas, Hector N. Rangel of Canyon Lake, Texas, Leonel Rangel of Norco, Louisiana and Nicolas E. Alegria of Kingsville; three daughters, Evangelina (Rudy) Longoria and Diana Bernal, both of Kingsville, Texas, and Debra Ann Palos of Corpus Christi Texas; two sisters, Eufracia Diaz of Corpus Christi and Dolores (Baldemar) Garcia of Premont, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 29, 2012 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
