

Mildred Allyne Wuensche Michalk , 91, of Bishop, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on September 14,1920, in Thorndale, Texas, to Will and Alma Wuensche. Mildred lived in the Concordia Community preceding her residence in Bishop. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bishop and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Mildred was a loving caregiver over the years for several relatives and friends. She was also a dedicated farmer's wife.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carl Michalk; her son, Donald Lee Michalk; two grandsons, Jason Michalk and David Lee Michalk; one granddaughter, Marcelle Renee Michalk; and her parents. She is survived by her children: Morris Michalk of Bishop, Leonard Michalk of Alvin, Texas, and Shirley Michalk of Bishop; grandchildren: Kevin (Melanie) Michalk of Seguin, Heather (Pat) Tondre of San Antonio, Kim (Robert) Claunch of Houston; Gene (Melissa) Michalk of Alvin;
18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends; one brother, Marvin (Pat) Wuensche of Lockhart, Texas; one sister, Frances Kahanek of Victoria, Texas; one sister-in-law, Gloria Bohot, of California; Visitation was held on Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop with the Rev. Matthew T. Ulmer officiating. Burial followed at Concordia Cemetery in Bishop.
