Ramiro Martinez Jr.

Ramiro Martinez, Jr. of Kingsville, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the age of 41.  He was born on October 28, 1970, to Ramiro Martinez Gonzalez and Rosalva Mendez Martinez in San Antonio, Texas.  During his free time, Ramiro enjoyed working on vehicles, including not only the mechanics part of it but also the paint and body work.  He took pride in his home and spent time maintaining it.   Ramiro enjoyed traveling on the weekends, going to new and different places.  During his illness, he loved having friends and family over.  Ramiro especially enjoyed visits from Ronny Lopez and family, Edmundo Mireles and Onelia Ibanez, Gerardo Mendez and family, Magdaleno Cruz and family, Martina Amaya and family, Ramiro Amaya and family, Miguel Amaya and family, Beto Arias and family, Arsenio Mireles and family, Jose Longoria and Refugio Murio.  He wanted them to know how very much he appreciated all they did for him and taking the time to stop and visit. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Martinez. Ramiro leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of twenty-one years, Petra Martinez of Kingsville; two sons, Jaime Antony Martinez and Le Roy Areola-Martinez both of Kingsville; parents, Ramiro and Rosalva Martinez of Ricardo, Texas; two sisters, Adalaida Martinez of Ricardo, Aracely Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; one granddaughter, Leann Areola-Martinez of Kingsville; father and mother-in-law, Pedro and Baudilia Ibanez of Los Ramones, N. L.; brothers-in-law:  Jose Ibanez and family, Pedro Ibanez+ and family, Angel Mario Ibanez and family, Hector Javier Ibanez and family, Jorge Antonio Ibanez and family and Pedro Ibanez; sisters-in-law:  Olga Silva and family, Onelia Ibanez and family, Erika Martinez and family and Lucero Ibanez; God children:  Miranda Guadalupe Martinez, Carlos Silva, Koraima Ibanez, Jose Orlando Ibanez and Angel Mario Ibanez. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary of Kingsville.
