With a keen sense of humour and a memorable smile, Jack was loved by all. He began farming at sixteen years old, then spent his early adult years working at Kenosee Lake, later becoming a brand inspector for the Government of Saskatchewan. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to success in many endeavours. He and Theresa owned Berglund Livestock Sales Inc.; an Auction Market in Arcola, SK, before moving back to the family farm in Kennedy and continuing to run a mixed operation of PMU, grain and cattle, as well as a ranch supply and oilfield services company.
Jack was a true lover of animals - especially his dog Dixie, apple pie made "with real apples", ranching and telling memorable stories.
The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ann R.C. Church, Kennedy, Saskatchewan on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Felipe Faustino. Interment followed in Kennedy Cemetery.
