July 7, 1928 - June 25, 2013 On Tuesday, June 25, 2013, John Nowakowski, Kennedy, Sk. passed away at the age of 84 years. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's R.C. Church, Kennedy, SK. on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. by the Rev. Hector Seville. Cremation with interment in St. Ann's Parish Cemetery. John was predeceased by his parents Martin and Catherine Nowakowski; two brothers Joe and George, and one sister Anna, all in infancy; five brothers-in-law Stan Filafka, Leo Hozempa, Richard Hyde, Doug Horrocks and Steve Bogdanoff; and is survived by one son Joe Volf, Yellowknife, N.W.T.; three brothers Thomas (Irene), Whitewood, SK., Stanley (Theresa), Regina and Martin (Dianne) Calgary; four sisters Nellie (Mattie) Rautavirta, Melville, Agnes Hyde, Wawota, Katie Horrocks (Harvey Walske) Swift Current and Rose Ann Bodganoff, St Albert, AB.; twenty-one nieces and nephews and thirty great-nieces and nephews.
