Dear Mom,
I can't believe it's already been a year because it feels like only yesterday I lost you. The pain has not eased and I still feel an empty void in my heart because no one can fill the place you have in it. There is not a day that has gone by when I don't think of you or miss you terribly. Even though I'm sure you are in a better place and no longer in pain, I feel lost without you here. Even though I'm sure you watch over us happily, I don't see your loving face or hear your voice so I feel selfishly deprived. I now realize that the things I had hoped for before were superficial and unimportant and what really matters is spending time with those you love because you never know what may happen. How I wish I could go back at least 2 years and reevaluate my priorities and make you aware of how special and important you are to me. It is said and is very true that you don't realize what you have until it is gone. You live on in my heart and you always will as my best friend and dearest mother, who made me the person I am today. You used to always ask jokingly, "Are you gonna cry when I die?" and now I'm asking when will I stop crying now that you are gone. As you already know you will never be forgotten -“ Aryana knows who her Nanny is and loves to play with your collectibles -“ in particular the Annie broadway play song "Tomorrow". She couldn't keep her hands off of it in Florida and I'm so worried she'll break it. I'm hoping I can continue your legacy and keep you proud of me.  You are gone but will never be forgotten. I was shocked & saddened to hear of Ann's passing. I had not seen her in a while but I will always have wonderful memories of her being around when I was growing up. She was truly one of a kind. My sisters & I send our condolences to Melissa, Neil, & Sonny. I know she is making everyone laugh up in heaven. God bless.

To my dear beloved Mother Ann, 
I couldn't ask for a better mother and words cannot express the pain and sorrow I feel from losing you. A part of me has definitely gone with you and life will never be the same for us. I never thought a mother and daughter could be so close as the bond we share could never be broken. The love I have for you is stronger than death. It breaks my heart to not hear your voice, see your smile, hear you laugh, or give me advice. No matter how hard I tried or how upset I was, you were the only one who could make me laugh at the drop of a hat. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be the person I am today. You are my best friend, confidant, and fortress always holding the family together. I'll always remember all the good times we had out at dinners, plays, and on vacations and the special moments we had with Aryana. I'm devastated that you had to be taken from us so soon but I hated to see you in pain. I hope you are in a better place watching over us and can't wait till we are reunited again. Until then a day will not go by when I don't think of you and miss you.
