Beverly Louise Birk Lundberg, 102, of Clermont, FL entered the presence of the Lord on March 18, 2014 at Superior Residences, Clermont. She was born in Hartford, CT on November 30, 1921 and was the daughter of Ralpha and Harold Birk. She graduated from East Hartford High School and Morse Business School. She held various jobs over the years, most recently, retail clerk at Modern Stationery in Winter Garden, FL before she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wesley A. Lundberg; daughter, Karen Gustafson; granddaughter Andi Gustafson; great-grandson Evan Oppman; her parents, and three brothers. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Clermont, FL. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Kevan) Barley of Memphis, TN; son Martin (Kathy) Lundberg of Milton, VT; daughter Peggy (Jody) Valdes of Montverde, FL; daughter Susie (Mike) Jones of Panama City, FL; son-in-law Carl Gustafson of Mechanicsburg, PA; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, nieces Sylvia Foster and Linda Latzke and
other family members. Two of her grandsons are missionaries, one to Mexico and one to Ukraine.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, reading, puzzles and word puzzles. She made wonderful memories with her children and grandchildren at the Lundberg Family Reunions and faithfully prayed for each one.
In addition to many camping trips, she took several special trips in her life: a cruise through the Panama Canal, two mission trips to Russia, and three trips to Alaska, one of which was a cross-country drive.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Open Door Baptist Church, Clermont, FL with Pastor Tom Farley officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Thomaston, CT.
