Dan and his wife, Lone, are among the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. I was so saddened to hear of Dan’s death but wonderful memories abound and all still bring a smile up my face. Hilde Ziegler Seiler. 

When I returned from Germany, I had the pleasure of meeting Dan and from that time forward, he has been my mentor and guide through my Disney story. His wife has always been supportive of all Dans endeavors and she loved him unconditionally. There were so many great experiences with Dan and Family. He will be missed dearly.

My Uncle Dan was one of those extraordinary humans who made everyone's life better just by being in it.  When I lost my mom at age 33, she asked him to watch over me.  He kept his promise to her and I am grateful.  If too much time had gone by, I would get a call out of the blue, and he would want to know everything going on in my life.  In 2006 my Aunt Lone and he took me on the trip of my life, a month trekking in Patagonia.  The adventure, the beauty, fun the laughter, and the time spent together was a precious gift they gave me.      

It broke my heart to hear of my Uncle's passing. I have such good memories of Dan while growing up thru out the years. He was always soft spoken and kind hearted. Our talks on the phone and times he came to Denver to visit were all very special. He helped bring peace to my family after the death of my Mother and Father (his brother). I was a very lucky young man to have such a great person in my life to look up too. He will forever live on in my memories. 

Very sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I met him many years ago when attending the MSU School of Hospitality Business annual homecoming weekend board of directors meeting on campus.  Dan was looked upon as a leader and a man of wisdom and experience, as was very evident to me as a new board member just coming onboard back in the day. When he weighed in on a topic, people listened. He will be missed.

My sympathies to his family as a fellow Hospitality Spartan.

We fondly remember our years as Dan’s next door neighbors in Celebration. He was smart, kind, enthusiastic, and always available for neighborly help. He was forever young in our view. Our deepest sympathies to Lone.

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing.  He was a great neighbor and friend.  Always the positive person looking out for everyone.  So glad I was able to be Lone and Dan's neighbor.  I remember Lone and Dan, coming over to our house when they saw we had a pallet of sod to put down.  They wouldn't take no, and helped us with the whole thing.  Just an example of who he was, and who Lone still is.  
My family will be keeping you in our prayers.

For many years Dan was a caretaker of my soul, a fellow traveler on our spiritual journey. A strong right arm to our pastors and a smiling presence.  He and Lone were the epitome of hospitality. He will be sorely missed.  

My heart is truly broken to hear this news. Dan was a friend, a pioneer, and a devoted churchman and shining follower of Jesus. I will miss his, "A you have a Disney Day!" when he saw you. Lone, my heartfelt prayers are with you.
