Obituary
12/31/1940-9/23/2023
Jean Ann Williams, Jean, Jeannie, and fondly, Jean-the-Bean, died Saturday, 9/23/2023, suddenly at her residence in Kissimmee. Jeannie was born in Harrisburg, PA, and lived with her parents, Marjorie Lambert Williams and Thomas Williams, in Delaware, NJ, Columbia, NJ, Clarks Summit, PA, Factoryville, PA, and lastly Kissimmee, FL. The last years of her life were spent at Comfort Group Home in Kissimmee, surrounded by loving friends and group home owners/care givers who embraced her as family.
Jeannie attended elementary school in Columbia, NJ, and then Laurelton School for Girls in PA. In Florida, she attended the Kissimmee Opportunity Center working on various projects and making life-time friends. Later she moved onto Adult Day Care in Kissimmee. Her retention of dates and events was amazing. Jean was a good conversationalist, and a sweet, sincere friend. She enjoyed socializing, as well as time with her books, albums, scrap books, crafts, painting, game books, she won numerous ribbons in shuffleboard in the Special Olympics, and she was meticulously organized. She was a competitive board and card game player. Many were lucky to receive her hand-made greeting cards. Jean was a devout Baptist, and volunteered in the church nursery in Factoryville, PA.
She enjoyed vacationing with her parents and their friends in camper caravans across the country. Eventually, she and her parents retired at The Good Samaritan Society in Kissimmee, FL, accompanied by many of their camper friends. In later years, she spent many vacations a year with her Aunt and Uncle in Connecticut, where she acquired an extended family of friends. A favorite vacation was a fabulous cruise where she “tore up the dance floor”!
Jeannie leaves behind several cousins in PA and NJ, especially close Tommy and Deb Jones, Aunt JoAnn and Uncle Eric Bredenberg in CT along with their friends, a multitude of co-workers, associates, and roommates in Kissimmee Laurie James and Dawn Marie, her loving care-givers/hosts Nadine & Lodgrick Campbell, Group Home Director/very long term Care-Giver Sherrine George, and is loved by many who miss her very much.
God Bless Jeannie, and embrace her with your Holy Spirt, knowing Jesus filled her heart.
JoAnn Lambert Bredenberg, Aunt, Trustee
