Julia H. Brown, 97, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2020. Julia was born to Albert Slue and Julia Johnson of Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica on July 3, 1922. She was educated in the public schools in Jamaica. Her loving husband was Selvyn George Brown, owner of Brown’s Garage.
Julia was a lifelong Anglican / Episcopalian, and an active member in the Mothers’ Union at St. James Cathedral, Spanish Town. She also volunteered for numerous charitable church events. She is predeceased by her late husband and three sons Carlton, George, and Lloyd. Mother Brown leaves behind her children Hyacinth, Lincoln, Winston, Derrick, and numerous grand and great grandchildren to cherish her fond memories.
There will be a celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 10:00 am, followed by a reception at Grissom Funeral Home, at 803 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34741.
