Alexandre Amarante

Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on December 3, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Ana Maria (nee de Melo). Dear God-father of Maria Louisa Melo, Aida Amaral, Lisa Rittinger and Joe de Melo. Dear brother of Selestino Pires (Dinar) of Brazil, Honorato Amarante (Maria) of California and Mariazinha Amarante of Azores. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jose & Maria Amarante and his brother Eugenio Amarante. Visitation will be held at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Scleroderma Society of Canada would be appreciated.
