Catherine Roche Dwyer

May 12, 1927 – March 23, 2015

Passed away peacefully in Hamilton after a brief illness.

Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Dwyer. Loving mother of the late Sean (Susie) Dwyer, Stephen Dwyer, Kerry (Casey) Philippi, Lynn (Steve) Jermyn, Maureen (Sandy) Wenzel and Alicia (Terry) Odette. Loving grandmother of Sebastian Yantz, April Dwyer, Heather Hickey, Blair Philippi, Geni (Philippi) Buss, Jennifer (Dwyer) Comeau, Nicole Wenzel, Brennan Dwyer, Ryan Dwyer, Kassi Dwyer and Bridget Odette. Cherished Shawnee of Evan, Julia and Liam Philippi, Maddy and Ella Yantz, Connor Buss and Merrin and Rowan Hickey. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews in the Roche and Dwyer Clans.

Predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.

Catherine was the youngest and smallest of 11 but had the biggest voice. She loved music, storytelling, clothing, shoes and most of all her family. She will be missed by many.

Catherine’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday March 26, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 at 11 am at St. Anthony Daniel RC Church, 29 Midland Dr., Kitchener followed by a reception in the Parish Life Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Anselma House, House of Friendship or Mary’s Place would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
