Clare Fortune

CHAMBERS-FORTUNE, Clare Marie – Clare Marie Chambers-Fortune (nee Warnholtz) passed away March 18, 2015 in her 102nd year. She was predeceased by her parents, Minna and August, her husband W.K. Chambers, 5 brothers; Jack, George, Alf, Walter and Robert, 4 sisters; Helma, Hilda, Rosella and Olga, 3 nieces; Beverley, Joan and Helene and 2 nephews; Donnie and Norm. Clare is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ed (Evelyn), Diane (Dave), Barbara, Sandra (Bob), Nancy, Malcolm, Pauline, George and Bill and will be fondly remembered by their families.

Clare was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 52 years and a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the E.L.W. of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Clare received her training as a Registered Nurses’ Assistant in Toronto and was extremely proud of her time working with the VON in Toronto.

A memorial service celebrating Clare’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 1 o’clock at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht officiating. A service under the auspices of the Rebekah Lodge will take place on Saturday morning at 10:50am at the funeral home. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11am until service time. Private interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran TV Ministry or to Lisaard House and can be arranged through the funeral home.
