Rev. Donald Stewart

Devoted father of Dugald Stewart of Toronto and Kathie and her husband Harry Must of Waterloo. Adored Grumpi to Nik, Natalie and Kevin (Cowan) and Viktoria, and the Musts, the Finneys and the Aksims. Uncle Don will be remembered by nephews Robert and Stewart Bremner and families. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Ella Stewart, his brother Douglas and sister Dorothy, and two nieces, Linda and Laura.

Pastor Stewart began and ended his ministry in St. Agatha. He was first called in 1953 to the parishes of St Agatha, Baden and Philipsburg, and in 1958 was called to St. Philip’s in Kitchener until, at retirement, he returned to serve St. Agatha. He shared his love of music and reading, and his extensive library with all he knew. He lived a life of kindness, joy, curiosity and deep faith.

Visitation Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener. Transfer to St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 236 Woodhaven Rd., Kitchener on Saturday, January 15th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00. Rev. Rick Pryce and Bishop Michael Pryse officiating with interment at Memory Gardens.
