She is survived by her sister Norma of Kitchener, niece Barbara (Rick) of Markham, nephews David (Cynthia) of Westcliffe Colorado, Chris (Kedy) and Alan (Ngaio) of Vancouver. Doris adored her great nieces and nephews and their children who have many memories of her kindness and enthusiastic interest in their lives. Doris taught school for three years before going to New York to study photography, which led to a 50 year career as a professional portrait photographer at the Law Studios in Cambridge, ON, retiring in 1988. She was a charter member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Cambridge and enjoyed nature photography, sculpting and gardening as her hobbies. She supported numerous charities, especially those related to underprivileged families, the environment and wildlife. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends and her wonderful sense of humour and wit which delighted everyone she encountered, even in her later years in the nursing home. We wish to thank the wonderful staff at Lanark Heights for their kind and loving care of Doris. She will be buried at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener, ON.
