Edward Leon Dumouchel

Beloved husband of Terry Dumouchel (nee Thompson). Loved son of Mirielle (nee DeCoene) and the late Leon Dumouchel (2009). Dear father of Amanda Beard and her husband Matthew, and Rachel Dumouchel and her fiance Christopher Beattie. Loved grandfather of Avery, Madeline, and Evelyn. Survived by brothers Richard and his wife Christine, and Terry, sister-in-law Marian, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jane and Roy Bromiley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Paul (2014), mother-in-law Ariel (1994), father-in-law Doug Thompson (1995), grandmother Marie Louise DeCoene (1992), and grandfather Leopold DeCoene (1959).

Edward retired in May 2006 from a lifetime career at Bell Canada, where he started as a linesman and then on to splicing. After his retirement, he worked for Telecom as a contract inspector until May 2014.

Friends will be received at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 10:30 – 11:15 am, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:30 am. Cremation will follow, with interment in Princeton Cemetery at a later date.
