Elizabeth Liz Amelia Brown

November 12, 1947 – October 2, 2010

It is heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Brown after a short and courageous battle at Juravinski Hospital. Survived by her children Tracy (Bill) and Robert (Niki) and grandchildren Courtney and Ashleigh. Beloved daughter of Margaret Brown, sister of Bev Prevost (Babs), niece Margaret Copland. Will be missed by many family, friends, fellow co-workers at McMaster University and her neighbours at Guise St. Co-op. Predeceased by her daughter Laurie-Lynn (1970), her father Arthur (2002) and her brother Hugh (2001). Special thanks to V.O.N., Paramed and the special staff of Ward C3 at Juravinski Hospital who provided supportive care to Liz during her various hospital stays. Also, to her sister Bev Prevost (Babs) and her niece Dawn Prevost-Zontanos for providing the most wonderful care to Liz for the last four months. Visiting at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton on Monday, October 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. At Liz’s request, memorial donations may be made to A.A. (in memory of her brother) or HHS-Juravinski Hospital Ward C3.
