Harold Laverne Miller

MILLER, Harold Laverne – It is with sadness that Harold’ s family announces his passing on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee McKeown) (2008). Cherished and loving father of Christine Charlebois (Blaine). Proud grandfather of Jordan Wienecke (Betty-Joe) and Ryan Wienecke (Debbie Mandowsky) and great-grandfather of Brandon, Emma and Nodin. Harold will be missed by his dear friends and caregivers, Wayne Lalonde (Marsha) and Marsha’s son, Lee Gill.

Harold was a Master Mason with the Grand River Lodge, a Knights Templar and member of the Mocha Shriners. He will be remembered by those who loved him as having a wonderful sense of humor, as the consummate handyman who could fix anything, and as an avid outdoorsman. He spent his working years repairing elevators, most recently with Delta, until his retirement.

Friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home on Thursday from

2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service under the auspices of the

Grand River Masonic Lodge will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Freeport Hospital or to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
