It is with deep sorrow that we announce mom’s passing on September 19, 2015 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Koert Dekker and William Parsons; Devoted mother of Ida (Henry) Hartman, Helen (Glen) Schmidt, Jane (Bernie) Brands, Ralph (Pat) Dekker, Shirley Dekker (Jim Madden); Predeceased by her son Koert Dekker, step-daughter Betty Hurst, and by all her brothers and sisters. Grandmother of 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St., W. Kitchener, ON N2G 1C7 on Wednesday September 23, 2015 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service on Thursday in the funeral home chapel at 11 am. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery; Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice by contacting the funeral home at 519-745-9495.
