Katherine Heidi Buchholtz

Passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 age 85 years. Katherine was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and the C.W. L., and a former president and past president of the Waterloo Legion Branch #530 Ladies Auxillary.

Loving mother of James (Joan), Wayne (Karen), Donna Mallard (Ron), Brian (Janet), Barbara Thomas (Jack) all of Kitchener and Nancy Jonas (Bryan) of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Survived also by a brother John Heidi (Barb) of B.C. Predeceased by her husband Bazil in January 29, 1982; a son, Ronald; brothers, George, Anthony and Karl and a sister Annie.

Mrs. Buchholtz’s family will receive friends and relatives at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener on Friday from 1-4 p.m. and from 6:30-9:00 p.m. (parish prayers at 8:30 p.m.) followed by Mass of Christian Burial from St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 56 Duke St. W., Kitchener on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Bernie Hayes, C.R. as celebrant. Interment: Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
