Leora "Lee" Hester Schaefer

October 18, 2010 at the golden age of 99 years.

Treasured friend and cherished new bride (August 27,

2010) of Lucien Carpentier of Florida, USA. Lee was quick of mind, had a wonderful smile and spirited humour. Lee was an avid traveller to Florida, where she met her beloved groom. Forever to be remembered with caring by nieces Jean (Schaefer) Hunter (Jim) of Cambridge On, Marilyn Reinhart, Buffalo NY, Meriel Chaffee (Richard) Williamsville NY, and nephews Carl Hammarstrom, Richmond VA, & Meridith Johnston (Martha) Natrona Heights PA. Leora, through her recent marriage was blessed with 4 sons, Lucien Jr., Gerald, Carl, & Jason Carpentier. Lifetime special friend to Paul Grein of Kitchener. Lee was born in Buffalo, N.Y., as Leora H. Reinhart and was predeceased by father John Reinhart, mother Lillian Stage, first husband Henry (1996), sisters Gladys, Ruth, Ethel, and brother George.

Viewing will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 12 – 2:00 p.m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Chapel, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, with funeral service to follow. Committal to be at Parkview Cemetery Waterloo On. Officiate Pat Fretwell, who also conducted their wedding service, will conduct the funeral service. In lieu of floral arrangements, it is Lee and Lou’s wish that donations be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home.

Will be sadly missed and loved forever.
