Manuel Rodrigues Barbosa

Passed away peacefully on Friday October 7th, 2011 with his family by his side, age 83 years. Manuel was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, Kitchener.

Survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Maria dos Santos Raposo (nee Pacheco). Their children, Alice (Joe Cidade), Adelina (Albert Macedo), Roger (Jackie, nee Ariss), Aida (David Haukenfrers) and Carlos.

Grandfather of Adam, Janelle, Mark, Josh, David, Michelle, and Vanessa. Great-Grandfather to Tyrone, Lilly and Hunter.

Manuel will be sadly missed by his sisters, Idolina (Norbert) and Maria (Antonio); brother-in-law, Silvino (Gilberta) Pacheco. Manuel will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Manuel’s family will receive friends and relatives at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 pm. (Prayers at 8:30 pm). Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday October 13, 2011 from St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener at 10:00am.

Interment: Williamsburg Cemetery.
