Mary Frances Porter

Passed away in her 89th year surrounded by her family on June 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener. Beloved wife of the late Stan Porter (1998). Loving mother of Paul (Jennifer) Porter and Karen (Philipp) Elker. Cherished Grandma to Veronica (Dean) Sas, Sherry (Matt Bott) Porter, Chris (Alisa) Porter, Stacey (Brian) Pilgrim and Kelly Elker.

Adored Great- Grandma to Alex and Elaine Sas and Madison Pilgrim. Dear Sister to Tena (Alex) Ginzel and Sister-in-law to Helen Ryndak, Eddie Porter, Eileen Grayhurst, Millie Furzer, Jack (Phyllis) Porter, Bonnie Wuersch and Shirley Porter. Special Aunt and Godmother to John (Leslie) Porter and Adopted Grandma to Lee-Andrea, Victoria, Jay-Lynn Kress and Josh Gaertner.

Predeceased by her parents John McKillop and Jessie Pentz , brothers Edward and Kenneth and their wives Veronica and Billie. Also predeceased by Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law Chuck Furzer, Mary and Milton Curvel, Leo and Georgina (Butch) Porter, Victoria and Matt McMahon, Bill Ryndak, Betty Porter, Denis Grayhurst, Harry Porter, Betty and Richard Stevenson, and Richard Wuersch. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and everyone who knew her. There would have been a big Porter party in heaven on Tuesday night followed by Mary and Betty going to the casino dragging Stan and Dick along.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton St., Kitchener on Friday June 7, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday June 8,2013 at 11 a.m. Internment and Fellowship to follow funeral.
