Murray Allen

ALLEN, Murray – Murray passed away peacefully in his 81st year on November 29, 2012. Beloved husband to Jean for 60 years. Loving father to Barb (Brian Merry) and the late Patricia, and father in law to Bill Trevena. Dear Grandpa to Brianne Merry (Sean Jerry), Beverley (Shawn Reid) and Bradley Merry (Sarah Jane). Great grandpa to Kaylee Rose. Brother to Ken Allen (Emily), Maurice Allen, Phyllis (Murray Moffitt) and Carolin (Bill Gowland) and the late Gordon Allen. Murray also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and members of his extended Trevena family. Murray was employed with Kitchener Transit for over 30 years, starting his career as a bus driver and retiring as an inspector. An active and dedicated member of Highland Baptist Church, serving in many capacities wherever needed. Many thanks to the staff of Maple and Pine at Lanark Heights for their compassion and care. Family and friends may visit Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W, Kitchener on Wednesday, December 5 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at Highland Baptist Church, 135 Highland Rd. W. Kitchener on Thursday December 6 at 11:00 am with reception to follow.
