Patricia Rita Reidel

Beloved mother of her son Richard of Waterloo and daughter Deborah and husband Gerry Ertel of Cochrane, Alberta. Loving Nan to Fawn of Calgary and Spring and husband Doran Hanert of Canmore, Alberta; adored Nana to her great-grandchildren Kai and Cedar Hanert. Sister of Betty Eby of Kitchener and kindred friend of Helen Korhovic, Lorraine Rapacki, Shirley Fixter and Alice Hinschberger.

Pat was a cherished elder member of the Kewley and Reidel families, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and a wide circle of friends. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her.

Pat was a vibrant, strong, fun-loving woman who embraced life with a youthful, energetic personality and a kind heart. She loved sharing time with family and friends, golfing, sewing, crafting, cooking, decorating her home and white baby carnations.

Predeceased by her husband Mike, sister Kay Scott, parents Verna and Gord Kewley and goddaughter Bonnie Karges. She also said good bye to many relatives and friends who died before her. Their memory was always honoured in Pat’s thoughts.

Each of you, family and friends, had a place in Pat’s heart. Those friendships enriched her journey. Please join us in celebrating her life and saying good bye to a treasured friend.

Pat’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday February 28 from 1-3 pm and Sunday March 1 from 1-4 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener, 519-745-9495. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday March 2 at 11 am followed by a reception in the Family Centre. Interment Parkview Cemetery.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Red Cross Care Partners or Hospice of Waterloo Region and can be arranged through the funeral home.
