Stephen Frederick Eston

ESTON, Stephen Frederick – Passed away peacefully after a brief but bravely fought battle with cancer on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Waterloo Wellington Hospice at the age of 60 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Colette for 23 years. Proud and loving father of Nathan (Angela) Eston and Melissa Eston. Cherished son of Dorothy Eston (Al Lamb) and the late George Eston. Dear brother of Bev Mascola, Amanda Murray (Jack) and Greg Eston (Val). Steve will be forever remembered by his nephews, Christopher, Chad and Wyatt, by the Carey Family, and by Nathan and Melissa’s mother, Julie Lawrence.

Steve was a dedicated Linesman and Supervisor with Guelph Hydro for over 34 years and with Ontario Hydro for years. A lover of all sports, Steve was a long-time member of the Guelph Country Club and a true Detroit Red Wings fan.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 7-9pm and Friday morning from 9am to 10am at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West. A time of Remembrance and Celebration will take place on Friday morning at 10 am at the funeral home, with a reception to follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.
