Ted Melkert

Passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Bunny (Carolyn Miller), father of Nancy Harding, Susan Melkert, and Pete (Sheri) Melkert, grandfather of Lorne Harding, son of the late Helena Broekman and Theodorus Melkert; brother of John, and the late Bill and Dini. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Josie. Ted was an artist and entrepreneur and later employed by WRSB until his retirement in 1989. He loved life and nature and family always came first. A Private Memorial Service will be held at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, ON N2G 1C7 on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 11 am. Cremation has taken place with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.
