

Morris, Alice Jane Woody McLemore, 80 years old of South Knoxville was called home to the Lord July 26, 2014 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a graduate of Young High School and Cleveland State Community College Nursing School. She retired from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in 1995 where she served over 23 years as a nurse. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved cross-stitch, the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her card buddies, “The Merry Widow Ladies”, her friends at O’Connor Senior Center and her neighbors. Preceded in death by parents, Gray and Edith McTeer Woody; husbands, Murrell McLemore and Ray Morris. Survived by daughters, Janet (Doug) Davis, Anita (Rick) Mynatt, and son, Jim (Susan) McLemore; grandchildren, Adam, Austin, and Nathan Davis, Jason (Melanie), Megan (friend Paul Newpher), Alex (Andrea) and Patrick (friend Emily Bliss) McLemore; great-grandchildren, Anna Kate, and Emma Jane (due in August) McLemore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Barbara) and Joe (Polly) Woody, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth (Doris) and Alvin (Cacheeta) McLemore, Joyce Dillinger and Harriett Morton (Donnie Howard); several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the Berry Chapel with Rev. Buddy Johnson and Rev. Dennis Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Highland South Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Berry Funeral Home Chapman Highway.
