Amelia Babcock Himes Lunsford passed away at her home on December 31, 2017, after a courageous ten-year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born May 17, 1926 to the late George and Ida Himes of Knoxville, Tennessee. She was married for 62 years to the love of her life, Hugh Lunsford, until death separated them in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Kenner; sisters-in-law Ruby Scott, Byrd Lunsford and Bernice Wright; daughter Sandra and son-in-Law MC Billings. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Benedicta Lunsford; grandson David England and wife Gina; granddaughters, Krista Lunsford and Stacey Olfe and husband, Glenn Olfe; great-granddaughter, Valerie England; and best friend of many years, Irene Kautz. Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service at 7:00pm.
