Andrew "Dru" Wayland Moffitt, age 70 went to be with Jesus and his family on March 21, 2026, at 8:16 PM. Dru was at home with his family at the time of passing. Dru was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family unconditionally. He will be missed by many but welcomed by many more in Heaven.
Dru told his kids a story when they were little:
"There once were two flowers; one red and one blue. They were best friends, until one day a fence was built between them, and they could no longer see each other. The flowers were sad. Seasons passed and the flowers missed each other terribly, until one spring, when they realized they had grown tall enough to see each other. As the wind blew, the flowers were brought together in a hug over the top of the fence, and they were filled with joy at being reunited!" We remind ourselves that heaven is but a fence away and every time the wind blows it will feel like a hug from across the pearly gates. Until we meet again.
Preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Clara (Allen) Moffitt; sisters: Brenda Moffitt and Dreena (Moffitt) Roache.
Dru is survived by his wife and life long partner, Pamela Diane (Cole) Moffitt; daughter, Charity D. Moffitt and son-in-law, Stephen Cunningham; son, Joshua A. Moffitt; step-son, Skylar A Wells; granddaughter, Ayla G. Cunningham; brothers, Phillip Moffitt and David Moffitt, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Per Dru's request, there will not be a funeral service, as Dru's choice was to be cremated. Genesis 3:19, "For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."
