Williams, Arlie Junior, age 68, of Highpoint, N.C., formerly of Newport, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served several tours of duty in Vietnam. Preceded in death by father, John Williams; mother, Arta Cagle; brother, Sheridan Cagle; and 2 infant children. Survivors include, sons, Robert Williams and wife, Christie, Jimmy Williams and wife, Gina; daughter, Ada Marie Williams; grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Rachel, Micah, Ellie and Bella Williams; brother, Donnie Williams and wife, Margaret; sisters, Bonnie McAmis and husband, Jerry, Betsy Briggs and husband, Gary; Faye Roach and husband, Arlen; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy.
