Bettie Rose Nix Nix Mynatt

MYNATT, BETTIE ROSE NIX - age 77 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 7:30 am at Mercy North Hospital, Powell. Bettie was diagnosed with small cell cancer seven weeks ago, and her testimony quickly became “I’m a Winner Either Way.” She was a faithful member of Bell’s Campground Baptist Church, Powell. Bettie graduated from Powell High School in the Class of 1952, and worked 22 years at AT&T Phone Company, Knoxville. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by beloved husband of 33 years, “Bud” Harold Eugene Mynatt, parents Racha Hugh & Fannie Estell Aulton Nix, granddaughter Micki Mynatt, daughter-in-law Janet Mynatt, and siblings: Howard Boyd Nix, Wilma Nix Carter, PFC Charles Lloyd Nix, Bobby Gene Nix, Cecil Ray Nix and Jerry Lee Nix. Survived by siblings: Louise Nix Ivey, Knoxville; Delores Nix Jones, Powell; Robert Earl Nix; Powell; Jim Nix (Elaine Cline), Powell; and Rachel Nix (Marvin) Yarber, Clinton; Step-Children: Gene Mynatt of Davie, Florida, Paul (Betsy) Mynatt of Tamarac, Florida, and Patty (Terry) McCrary of Pickens, Mississippi. Loved like a daughter Tracey (Jeff) Whitt, Knoxville. Eight precious Grandchildren: Daniel, A.J. and Mallory Mynatt, Stephen (Mary) Reams, J.T. McCrary, Gracie & Cooper Whitt. Two darling Great-Grandchildren: Adyn & Addy Reams.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 from 5-7 pm at Bell’s Campground Baptist Church, 7816 Bell’s Campground Rd, Powell, TN 37849. Funeral service Tuesday at 7pm, with Rev. Brian Trapp and Rev. Mike Harbin officiating. Music by Tim Petree, Vickie Harbin and Rev. Mike Harbin. Pallbearers: William Dake, Kevin Herman, Daniel Mynatt, Craig Nix, Chris Nix, Robby Nix, Stephen Reams and Lynn Whited. Family and friends will meet at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., Knoxville, on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011 at 12:15pm to drive in procession to Burial Service and Dove Release Ceremony at 1 pm at Bell’s Campground Cemetery, 7920 Bell’s Campground Rd, Powell.
