Mrs. Billie Sliger

SLIGER, BILLIE JO KILGORE passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center. Billie was a loving wife of 63 years to her husband, George, who passed away in April 2011. She will be missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Billie was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church, where she worshiped with her friends, enjoying her Sunday School Class and Senior Choir. The Christmas Season is special to Billie as she truly believed Christ as her Savior, loving Christmas cards and carols, showing people that she loved them with kind words and scripture. So, it will be a special reunion that she has with those that have passed, George, her parents, Fred and Nellie Kilgore, sisters, Frankie, Sue, Phyllis of Chattanooga, dear friends and church family. Celebrating her life are sons and their families, David and Sally Sliger, Suzannah and Joe of Chattanooga, Fred and Lou Ann Sliger, Rachel of Knoxville, John and Fiancée Kaity Allen of Memphis; sisters, Johnnie Ryan (Wildwood, GA), Freda Seaton (Chattanooga), brother-in-law, BH Yerbey (Chattanooga), brother-in-law, Roy and Mary Sliger (Englewood), sister-in-law, Martha and Bill Deaton,(Oak Ridge), Alma Sliger (Athens) plus many nephews and nieces. Family will receive friends Wednesday 12:30-2:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home with service at 2 pm, officiating Rev. Steven Hoover. The burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery at 3 pm.
