

Bodine (Bo) Jewell Stultz, 84, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born January 21, 1932 in Hardy, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late Perry and Gladys Opal Stanley (Scites) of Hardy, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rudy “Stanley” Hill. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Edgar Stanley, Judy Honaker "Stanley", Gail Ritter "Stanley", Bonnie Ragas "Stanley", Bob Stanley; husband Robert Earl Stultz; sons and daughter-in-law’s, Donald and Katrina Stultz, John and Kathy Stultz, Perry and Diana Stultz. She has 13 grandchildren: Pricilla Stultz, Amy Stultz, Georgia Stultz, Chancelee Stultz, Jared Stultz, Peter Stultz, James Stultz, Katherine Stultz, Gunnar Stultz, Payson Stultz, Gatlin Stultz, Halsey Stultz, and Crockett Stultz; two great-grandchildren, Davis Stultz, and Leland Crum. Bo graduated from Belfry High School in Belfry, Kentucky in 1950. Bo and Bob were married on July 5, 1951 in Clintwood, Virginia and they honeymooned in Pigeon Forge. Along with raising 3 sons and being a Navy wife to Bob, she was an active Cub Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Unit 194, a Teacher’s Aide at Carter Elementary School, a member of the Jefferson City Christian Church, and a friend to all in the community. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with Bob Emmert officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. for a Burial at 10:00 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, March 31st, 2016 at Thorngrove Cemetery in the Thorngrove Community.
